Screen Printing

Screen Printing is a printing technique that uses a stencil method of print making in which a design is imposed on a screen of polyester or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance. Ink is forced into the mesh openings by the fill blade or squeegee and onto the printing surface during the squeegee stroke. When in the process of screen printing, one colour is printed at a time, so several screens can be used to produce a multi-coloured image or design. If more colours are desired in the final design, the process is repeated with different screens. A design that requires four different colours would, therefore, require four different screens. Screen Printing is mostly commonly used for t-shirts, garments and other fabrics. It is also used on all sorts of other substrates ranging from plastic to metal. Although small and intricate details can be captured, this technique is ideally suited for bold and graphic designs. Our coverage area is screen printing cape town and surrounding areas.
